Project
Transeuropean, formed by the Hungarian musicians Kálmán Oláh and Mátyás Szandai on piano and bass, and theSpanish Marc Miralta and Perico Sambeat, on drums and saxos, was born with the desire to consolidate transnational synergies between different musicians from the European jazz scene and incorporates the influences of each of its members to deliver a speech full of jazz music, but with elements of classical music, flamenco, Mediterranean sounds and Hungarian folk (with strong influence of Bela Bartok). A mix of musical styles on stage that will allow us to enjoy an amazing jazz.
The pianist Kálmán Oláh, one of the emblematic figures of jazz from Hungary, has gained a reputation internationally as an artist who masterfully combines elements of jazz, folk and contemporary classical music. Kálmán, versatile performer, shows his passion for expanding the frontiers music and its endless quest for new forms of expression.
Miralta Marc is one of the best Spanish jazz musicians and most internationally. He plays drums and percussion, Indian tablas, “cajón” and the vibraphone. He is a master of jazz and flamenco fusion and a key figure among the jazz connection between Barcelona and New York.
